Ashwin K. Ravichandran, MD, is a heart specialist specializing in congestive heart failure (CHF) and pulmonary vascular medicine at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Marion and Peru, Indiana. He provides care for advanced cardiovascular disease, such as narrowed or blocked coronary arteries, high blood pressure, artial fibrilation (Afib) or other heart rhythm problems, vascular heart conditions, among many other reasons people can develop cardiovascular disease. 

Dr. Ravichandran has a subspecialty certification in advanced heart failure and transplantation, cardiovascular diseases, and echocardiography. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Society of Echocardiography, Pulmonary Hypertension Association and International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Ravichandran also participates in clinical research studies spanning the fields of congestive heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary vascular medicine and structural heart disease, and has dozens of publications in these arenas. In addition to serving as the Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiolog Fellowship Prog is also an associate professor of medicine at Marian Osteopathic College of Medicine, and a key clinical faculty for the general cardiovascular fellowship.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, sports, traveling and reading.
