Our Faculty 

 

Rev. Kriss Mi Young Choi, M.Div, MA, is an ACPE Certified Educator and a Supervisor-Clinical Pastoral Education on our faculty here at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.

She is a Confucian-Christian and ordained United Church of Christ minister.  Kriss has been at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital since 2019.   Her supervisory style is informed by Social Learning Theory, Gestalt Approach, Yin Yang Five Essential Elements, in connection in spiritual and personal growth with the theology of 인간 (人 間 sounds In-Gan, meaning Human).

 

 

 

Sean Doll O'Mahoney, M.Div, BCC, is an ACPE Certified Educator and Manager of Clinical Pastoral Education at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.  Sean is a Board Certified Chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (2010) and has been at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital since 2017.   He is Irish-American and his supervisory style is informed by improvisation, a theology of hospitality, and relational-cultural theory.  Sean is a pizza baker and appreciates play in the process of learning. 

 

 Rev. Sarah Knapp, MTS, BCC is an ACPE Certified Educator and a Supervisor-Clinical Pastoral Education on our faculty here at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.  Sarah came to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in 2012 to begin her journey of Supervisory Education, also serving as a hospice and behavioral health chaplain.   Sarah is a Board Certified Chaplain with the Board of Chaplaincy Certification, Inc/Association of Professional Chaplains and is an ordained United Methodist Elder.   Sarah's supervisory style is shaped by the work of Yvonne Agazarian, as well as Polyvagal Theory and a passion for interreligious dialogue as well as research literacy.
